We met Jess, the owner of SiO contracting, through one of our first marketing campaigns. We were commissioned to work on her real estate business and SiO Contracting, an all-women construction business founded in Portland, Oregon.
As a Webdesign agency that thrives on inspiring, educating, and promoting women within our company, we are genuinely inspired by her work ethic, determination, and hard work. She is a rockstar!
Identifying the target audience
To understand the target audience, we had to ask ourselves a few questions
This one is obvious
The average cost of a home renovation can range anywhere from several thousand dollars to tens of thousands of dollars, depending on the size and complexity of the project. The cost of a significant renovation that SiO Contacting would undertake, such as a complete kitchen remodel or adding a room, can be upwards of $15,000 to $50,000.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are 593,600 households in the Portland Metro area, where 15% of the households (90,000) earn over $150,000 a year, and 1% of the homes (5936) earn more than $346,600 a year.
Design of the website
After understanding the type of client that will visit the website, we realized that the ideal client would most likely come to the website by a referral. The visit will be to check out Jessica’s previous work. As a local design business that caters to the affluent portland community, we needed this website to match that energy and taste. We took inspiration from high-end brands such as Dior and Gucci.

Once the website was built, we took it further and created an “app version” of it. The “app version” is designed to be user-friendly and easy to navigate. This allows the visitors to access the website from their phones and tablets and still have the same experience as they would from a desktop computer.
